Jiang-Ming Yang is Development Director of Commerce & Identity Platform of Electronic Arts. Commerce & Identity Platform of Electronic Arts is one of the largest platform to power hundreds of games played by hundreds of millions of gamers, including FIFA, Medal of Honor, Battlefield, Origin, Play4free and so on. The commerce & identity platform is responsible for providing foundation services to game studios including identity management, authorization and single sign on, account, subscription, billing, payment , virtual currency, provisioning, entitlement, risk and fraud at 24x7 with 99.99% reliability.
Before joining Electronic Arts in 2012, Jiang-Ming Yang was a Senior SDET Leader in Commerce Platform (CP) group of Microsoft Corporation. The platform provides the account management, billing and subscription management, reporting for over 180M customers and 80M transactions/day of the popular Microsoft online service including Xbox Live Online, Windows Phone, Windows Store (Windows 8), Hotmail, Bing, Azure, O365 etc. His work is leading engineers on infrastructure & backend process teams of Platform, designing and implementing the infrastructure changes to scale out, driving the new backend process framework and support the data migration for new partner onboarding.
He was with Web Search & Mining Group (WSM) of Microsoft Research Asia from 2007 to 2009 (click here to find his previous homepage). His previous research interests includes user-created content analysis and lock-free consistency maintenance. He has published over 30 papers in premier academic conferences including WWW, SIGIR, SIGKDD, SIGGROUP, MM, CIKM (click here to see his publication list). He has also filed 16 us/international patents.
He received the M.S. and B.S. degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
